Who We Are
CC Consulting Corporation is a woman owned and operated construction management and inspection firm, incorporated in PA since 2006. CC reliably provides qualified, dedicated, energetic transportation construction managers and inspectors to represent transportation authorities with professionalism. We represent government agencies on heavy highway transportation projects, including projects that are funded by the Federal Highway Administration, State Departments of Transportation and local municipalities.
CC is a PAUCP certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and a certified Woman Business Enterprise by the City of Philadelphia, licensed to do work by the City of Philadelphia.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build and repair infrastructure through public works projects with a social and environmental conscience; to provide qualified and diversified construction management teams that specialize in transportation and improvement projects that improve quality of life, and to mentor and recruit new talent to the transportation industry.
Management
CC Consulting is owned and operated by Kathryn Giaconia. Ms. Giaconia is a former engineer for the City of Philadelphia Streets Department, where she managed federal highway projects with oversight from PennDOT and FHWA, the same type of projects that CC currently pursues.
Kathryn Giaconia is a native of Philadelphia and a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls and Drexel University, where she earned a degree in civil engineering. While at Drexel, Ms. Giaconia began her career with the City of Philadelphia as a co-op and worked as a highway construction inspector for the Federal Highway Unit in the Streets Department. There she worked on high profile projects such as West River Drive and Historic East Market Street. Ms. Giaconia continued to work for the City as consultant inspector and office manager on the Historic East Market Street project.
As a Construction Project Engineer for the Philadelphia Streets Department, Ms. Giaconia managed complex projects such as Kelly Drive Lighting which included relocation of the historic statue of Lincoln from the center of Kelly and Sedgely Drives in order to convert a traffic circle to a signalized intersection. Other projects included Independence Mall Streetscape which was constructed in conjunction with the National Constitution Center, the Philadelphia Visitor’s Center, and the Liberty Bell Pavilion. School House Lane included a new railroad grade crossing. As project engineer, Ms. Giaconia supervised inspection teams, resolved contractor disputes, monitored the budget and schedule, and coordinated and chaired project meetings with utilities and stakeholders.
Ms. Giaconia recruited and mentored new construction inspectors while in the Federal Highway Unit. After leaving the Streets Department, Ms. Giaconia created CC Consulting, where she continues to recruit talented individuals to an exciting career in construction management. Ms. Giaconia has secured a variety of contracts for CC Consulting Corporation as a subconsultant for the City of Philadelphia, PennDOT and other transportation authorities.
