Project Inspection
Transportation Construction Inspectors verify and document that contractors perform work as required by contract specifications. Inspectors collect field samples, photograph, sketch, measure and calculate construction quantities and monitor testing results. Inspectors check detours; maintenance and protection of traffic and pedestrians. They represent the owner transportation authorities to the public and act as agents of the authority to keep the project and community safe.
Inspectors In Charge
Transportation Construction Supervisors are the Inspectors-In-Charge (IIC) on the project. The IIC assigns inspectors to the required construction activity. The IIC is responsible to resolve issues. They complete documentation and verify that shop drawings and submittals are approved and material certifications are submitted.
Project Office Managers
The Office Manager is a priceless addition to the project team and can help the IIC with day-to-day responsibilities including tracking the material certifications and the contractors’ EEO reports and certified payrolls, environmental compliance reports, and daily maintenance and protection of traffic reports. Office Managers assist the IIC in writing meeting minutes, field directives and change orders.
